It's overkill to send Superman and Green Lantern to take care of animal control, but when you remember that the Super Friends had a friend named Rima that could talk to animals, it made the whole thing even stupider. She could have borrowed Wonder Woman's jet, flown over the village, and solved the entire thing by screaming "Knock it off!" out the window.
