#77 (AFI):
The Palm Beach Story
Year: 1942
Directed by: Preston Sturges
Written by: Preston Sturges
Starring: Claudette Colbert
Seanbaby: I was negative 34 when this movie came out, so you'll have to forgive me that I've never seen it. And when I went to the Internet Movie Database to get more information about it, I ran across the featured user review by "mscheinin" that said...
"When commenting on a film as brilliantly constructed and deeply entertaining as The Palm Beach Story, it's hard to know just where to start.
Do you tip your hat to the uniformly wonderful performers?
Do you pay tribute to the bizarre and hilarious conversations held by the Weenie King (Robert Dudley), an incidental character who manages to be a lot more than a mere plot contrivance?"
It goes on and on like that until he finally says, "For those in need of a vacation, I recommend a stay at Palm Beach." And I think you'll agree with us that no matter what the actual movie's like, that guy's chosen the gayest possible way to review it.

#77 (IFLS):
Tommy Boy
Year: 1995
Directed by: Peter Segal
Written by: Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, Fred Wolf
Starring: Chris Farley, David Spade, Brian Dennehy, Rob Lowe, Bo Derek, Dan Aykroyd
Seanbaby: Chris Farley's death made me give up on tabloid psychics completely. Their job was to mystically predict the futures of celebrities, and they didn't give us any warning that the obese cocaine-addict that cartwheels down stairs and has seizures on purpose was about to die. It shouldn't have taken a crystal ball or a medical degree to see that coming.
Mark: Hands down, the funniest “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” rip-off ever made. Ever.
