#91 (AFI):
The Heartbreak Kid
Year: 1972
Directed by: Elaine May
Written by: Bruce Jay Friedman, Neil Simon
Starring: Charles Grodin, Cybill Shepherd
Erik: I've never seen this one. It's directed by Elaine May and written by Bruce Jay Friedman, which makes it sound kind of funny. On the other hand, it's on the AFI's top 100 comedy list, and that means there's a 90% chance that it's unwatchable.
Seanbaby: When I think of Elaine May, I think of Ishtar. And when I think of Ishtar, I wake up with a 20 hour blank space in my memory and human blood all over my hands. I'm just kidding. It's only baby blood.
Kthor: Man dumps wife for Cybill Shepherd. In 1972. She was already 22 by then. Lord, is she mainlining monkey pineal gland extract or what? And Erik, what the hell about Elaine May speaks of quality to your my-hand-damaged ears? Ishtar. Tootsie. Reds. Wolf. The Birdcage. DICK TRACY, for God’s sake. That woman couldn’t even give a funny blowjob.
Mark: I just found this: www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Studio/2794. Hands down, the best Charles Grodin Flash animation. EVER.

#91 (IFLS):
Used Cars
Year: 1980
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis
Written by: Bob Gale, Robert Zemeckis
Starring: Kurt Russell, Jack Warden, Deborah Harmon, Frank McRae
Seanbaby: When you see most people dressed up in a crappy polyester suit at a 70's party, they're not really dressing like a decade, they're dressing like Kurt Russell in Used Cars. There are a million great things about this new and improved 92nd Funniest Movie ever, but you know the best one? A tie between not involving Elaine May and not involving Cybill Shepherd.
Erik: [Thanks to a slight mixup with the Calculando Calrissian 2000, Erik originally thought Woody Allen's Manhattan had won this spot. Here are his comments about that movie. -ed] I don't have anything against Woody Allen movies, but I want to see another "love song to Manhattan" about as much as I want to watch old people challenge fat people to a makeout contest. I give up, New Yorkers. You're better than me. I admit it. Now shut the fuck up about it already.
[And here are his comments about the wrong movie in Español. -ed] Me gusta los chicos pequeños IN MY MOUTH.
